Frequently asked questions
📌 Do you upload my videos to a server?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your files never leave your device. That means it’s fast and private.
📌 Is there a limit on frames or file size?
You can capture up to 20 frames from video to keep GIF performance smooth. Images mode accepts many images (depending on your device). File size wise: most modern browsers handle up to 500MB easily, but we recommend reasonable sizes for speed.
📌 Can I add text or stickers to a GIF?
Absolutely! Click the ✎ (edit) button on any captured frame or uploaded image. You’ll get a full editor: add text, choose color, outline, thickness, emoji, drag to position, resize. All edits stay on that frame.
📌 Does it work on iPhone / Android?
Yes, fully responsive with touch support. You can drag items in the editor, resize with pinch, and reorder frames by touch. All features work on mobile browsers.
📌 How do I change the GIF speed?
Use the Speed slider (10% to 200%) or adjust Frame delay (seconds per frame). Live preview updates immediately.
📌 Can I make GIFs from YouTube?
Yes! In Video mode, click “Paste URL” and insert a YouTube link. The tool will load the video (if supported) and you can capture frames. (Requires video CORS compatibility – most public YouTube embedded videos work.)
📌 Do you add a watermark?
Never. The GIF is yours, completely clean. No watermark, no logo.
📌 Why is the generated GIF large/small?
You can control output size via the Width dropdown (from 100px to 720px). Height adjusts proportionally. For smaller files, reduce width or number of frames.
📌 Can I reorder frames after capturing?
Yes – just drag and drop any frame thumbnail in the “Captured Frames” grid. Same for images mode. Or use “Sort by time” for videos.
